Meet Hoan
Occupational Therapist and founder of Nurture Together OT

Hi there! I'm so happy you're here.
I'm a pediatric occupational therapist with over a decade of experience supporting children in school settings, with a special focus on early childhood. My journey toward creating a nurturing space for both children and parents began when I became a first-time mom, just months before the world changed with COVID-19.
Through that experience, I realized that while there’s a wealth of information about early childhood development, it's often scattered — and resources for supporting maternal health can be hard to find. I truly believe that a child and their parent form a single, connected unit. Growth and well-being happen together — no one should be left behind.
That's why I created a place where new moms and parents can find thoughtful, cohesive support. Here, you’ll find resources centered on five key areas: Play, Rest/Leisure, Eat, Plan & Prep, and Sleep — all designed to help children build independence and help parents feel more confident, rested, and cared for along the way.
My Credentials
I possess a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University and a background in Psychology and Public Health. I have experience providing services in many areas, including home services for adults and children, schools, skilled and acute rehabilitation center. But I've dedicated most of my time to servicing children and parents in the school system. I have worked with hundreds of young children and their parents addressing different types of disabilities and abilities to help them flourish in academics and life skills. My skill set includes sensory processing and regulation, handwriting development, early literacy, visual perceptual development, motor strengthening and coordination, reflex integration, executive functioning, and feeding therapy (using Sequential-Oral-Sensory Approach to Feeding).

Fun Facts About Me
I'm a mom of two curious and candid littles, I’m constantly learning from their honesty, humor, and unfiltered thoughts—especially when the topic of the day is (you guessed it) poop. My spirit animal? The beluga whale. I felt an instant connection the first time I saw one—calm, playful, and deeply intuitive. Like many, I have my sensory quirks: the sound of metal scraping metal or nails on a chalkboard? Instant shivers & stomach churns. In my downtime, I love watching TV, hiking, eating my way through new flavors, and treating myself to good coffee (okay, maybe too often). You could call me a multilingualist—I’m fluent in English and Vietnamese, and thanks to a steady stream of global TV shows, I’ve picked up bits of five other languages. Above all, I’m deeply empathetic and love connecting with the world through a child’s lens—imagination, wonder, and all.
